Fundraising Excellence

Fundraising Excellence

After parenting 3 young children in a small town, I have learned that fundraising diversity is something that needs to be researched more. For several years now, all 3 children have sold the same things at the same time, as if it is not hard enough to find something I can't live without in one of the booklets sent home. I decided to contact the principal of our small school and ask if I could help. She was elated and gave me all the information she had already collected. I went home and to work on the unique fundraising venture I wanted.

As I looked online, I found many opportunities to make money for our school that didn't cost any up front money and were also things that no others had attempted to sell in our area. One place I found was Uncle Jerry's Tees. This fundraiser allows you to sell unique and popular t-shirts and beach towels. I also found that they have a wonderful prize system for the sales of their products. Uncle Jerry's
Tees sell for $11 to $20 a peice depending on size and your school or organization gets $5 per item. Also, they offer an organizer incentive. I called to order my start up pack and it arrived a few days later. Inside were color booklets and prize sheets, order sheets and a sample of both a t-shirt and a towel. They were great quality and I found several designs I could use. When you send in your order, you can opt to have your items shipped by seller, teacher name, grade or any way you want. The orders come wrapped as asked and ready for delivery. Very easy if you ask me.

There are always other options that can be quick and easy. If you have parents that are very involved bake sales can generate quick money. Since our school is so small (about 2000) some outside organizations hold school dances and invite certain grades. They charge an entrance fee and have a concession. This draws good money too. There are so many ideas that one can come up with that would draw fundraising money to your organization.
