Baking is enjoyable in many ways. If there is one thing that is not so exciting about it, it has to be the cleaning up. All the little measuring cups and spoons have to be washed and when time is not on ones side it can be not fun at all. You need that bowl that has the batter in it again in a few minutes and the contents makes it sticky and hard to get rid of in such a short time. The kitchen is hot and you have to keep an eye on other things. Here is a tip that really helped me with my batter bowl struggle. If you have chosen to use a glass or plastic bowl, the tips that are given applies to both. It was a big issue for me as I love to bake, to have to cleanup and actually had to leave things overnight to soak so that the next day they will be much easier
to wash. If you have your day planned, there is no way yesterdays cleaning will fit in. First, fill the bowl with very cold water. Leave it for approximately seven minutes. After which you reach into the bowl (still filled with water) with your hand and just slide your fingers around in the bowl to release any excess content of the batter. After you have done this, poor the water out and try to wash the bowl with a sponge and a little dish washing liquid. Its a rough situation to have flour stuck to the bowl but its best to not use warm water to wash it as this may cause the flour to get more sticky and much more difficult to remove from your baking bowl. So, next time you are having problems to get your batter bowl clean, try these tips and see if they will help you to save much more time on your cleaning up.
