In life, what matters most? - Page 1 of 1
Each one has a childhood to remember. Some childhood bring smiles to one's face, other childhood brings sad tears to one's eyes. What makes this difference? It is the family behind our childhood. How wonderfully or badly a child develops depends on how much love and attention (or lack of it) is given to a child.
A loving father and loving mother would likely have a child who will become a loving person. On the other hand, a violent father could be raising a future brutal person. A mean mother could produce her mean replica in her daughter while a sweet, doting mother could expect a daughter with her sweet traits. However, there could be exceptions but most likely, its like father like son, like mother, like daughter.
So here we recognize the prime importance of the role of the father and that of the mother, the siblings and how the family supports each member. A happy family is a strong family that can weather any storms in life. Nothing comforts more than the love and care of family. We all need a sense of security as we move through life's uncertainties and a solid family tie gives us that.
However, some kids go through life hurting and feeling neglected? Why? Because some parents think that money will solve any u
nhappiness in life and so they bury themselves with work, hoping to earn more money. Sadly, family togetherness is put aside, kids are left with babysitters and even dinner time is compromised. When parents get too busy earning a living and do not have enough time to spend with children, family relationship is sacrificed. The family bond becomes weak and so the sense of security for children is no longer there. Later in life, as these hurting children grow into adulthood, they might not be fully equipped to handle life's punches.
When a child grows up in a harmonious family atmosphere, he or she is marked for success in life. It will be easy for him or her to deal with life's challenging realities, knowing that there is a family that is there for him or her, come what may. He or she can tackle life's problems, having that sense of security that he or she is never alone in any circumstances.
The greatest satisfaction, one can experience in this life is having a family whom you can lean on, especially in tough times. A family who will protect you when the rest of the world is angry at you. A family that does not judge but rather takes out the best of you. A family who can make you laugh even when all things seem to fail. This is what matters most in life. When looking back at life, family is the only thing that matters.
