Knitting A Butterfly Blouse

Knitting A Butterfly Blouse

I have knitted a special kind of blouse one can wear at the office or as a fancy blouse at a party. Its sleeves begin almost from the belt and grow tighter to the shoulder by diminishing the number of buckles as follows: 5 buckles after the third line, 5 buckles less after the 10th a side line( at both edges of the sleeve, that is 5 less once at an edge, 5 less athe other edge of it). I order to count properly the numbers of buckles to be diminished one must take into consideration the two possibilities of making the butterfly sleeves. One can start by making the sleeves with the front or back side of the blouse altogether, which means that one has to increase the number of buckles above the 10 lines of belt and 2 a side lines after them. If you increase the number of buckles with 5 after the 3rd line and 5 after the 10th you have to diminish it little by little from this point on, about 3 buckless less after every 5 a side lines. The sleeves can be made of 2 equal parts each which can be sewn on the shoulder line
. Better draw the model and choose how you feel it would be easier for you to make it.

The second possibility of making the sleeves look like butterfly wings is to make the front and backside of the blouse separetely, then to insert buckles in the two sewn parts on a needle or a large crochet and to make each sleeve in a single part, without the sewn line on the line shoulder. In this case you have to diminish the number of buckles from the belt on. You have to start knitting the blouse from the belt. At the end of each sleeve you can stop diminishing the number of buckles and knit a part of about 3 or 5 a side lines with a constant number of buckles. After this you can increase the number of buckles with 3 at every 2 second a side line.

You can also let a part of the sleeve with the 2 halves detached one from another. It is about the end to the wrist.

You can knit it in a simple a b- pattern or in a 2-2 for 2 a side lines, then replace the - buckles with the buckles.

Hope you're blouse will be a nice one. The model is less common.
