The influence of movies, music and games

Movies, Music and games
At one time in life kids sat and watched movies all the time. They would sit and be glued to the tv. Now it's games. They sit on their computer or in front of the tv from the time they come in from school until time for bed playing these games.

How much influence does these programs and games have on our children? I noticed that alot of the time parents will blame these things for the behavier of their children. Certain movies made them do this or certain games made them do this.

When I was growing up it was all about the music. People always blamed the music. Kids and teens are more influence today by all this. They projected alot of violence in these. Kids today seem to think this is how your suppose to be and this is how the world works.

From the time children are born their brains are like sponges. They absorb everything around them. What is said and how people act. The smaller children will memic what we do and what we say.

If you remember when people were blaming the music they weren't paying attention to the cartoons on the television. Cartoons have been just as violent as the tv shows we watch today

Some people use the tv and games for their babysitter. They will put their kids in front of the tv and let them stay. I'm not saying all people do this so dont get me wrong but I have noticed alot of people do do this. There are very good educational programs for children on tv and games but alot of the children are not enterested in those. Alot of children loose interest in them and would rather be playing a game or watching tv. Some children will scream and have a fit if you try and change it but you have to stand firm and hold your ground because it will bennift in the future of the children and yours.

So what do you do?? How do you handle this? Kelly
