My First Daughter

Getting pregnant with my first daughter was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I was 17 at the time and thought that I knew it all. I was considered a "wild child." I ran away from home often, and skipped school as much as I could. My friends and I were considered the "wrong crowd" that parents didn't want their children to be around. I did drugs and at one point I was addicted to one of the worst possible drugs there is.

That all changed though, the moment I found out I was pregnant. It was like a light went on inside my head. I was in a relationship at the time and ended up marrying him, which lasted all but six years. That is a completly different story though. When I found out I was pregnant it was like my life did a complete turn around. I went from being the "wild child" to be
ing a great mother. I was in my senior year of high school. Matter-of-fact I was pregnant my whole senior year of high school. And yes, I did graduate all the while pulling my grades up fom C's and D's to A's and B's. Two weeks after having my daughter I walked down that ailse in my graduation ceremony.

After having my first daughter it changed my life in ways that I never thought was possible. I went on to have two more children, another girl, and then a boy. I went on to college and got and education there. I know though, if it wasn't for me having my first daughter, Hailie, I don't know where I would be today. At the rate I was going though I would probably be in jail, or worse, dead. I thank God everyday for giving me my blessing in disguise. Without her, I would'nt be me. It just goes to show that you can overcome anything if you set your mind to it.
