Positive Parenting: Proven Way To Effectively Raise You Children

Parenting is a full-time obligation of raising a child from birth to adulthood. Let me say there's no best way of parenting however positive parenting is considered to be one of the most effective. Positive parenting is all about relationship. The better relationship you have with your child the bigger your chances are of becoming an effective parent.

Positive parenting plays a major role on how children are raised. It isn't just about kissing your baby as you put her in her crib or giving applause when she makes her first steps. It goes much deeper than that.

Surveys show that majority of all parents think that parenting is the topmost task they must deal with. Parents differ in the way they address this task. Some say they can improve in positive parenting, other parents believe they should be more efficient in parenting and more parents agree they can decrease their disciplinary parenting. Additionally, statistics reveal nearly thirty percent of infants and children have social, emotional and intellectual issues. Many of the cases are the results of a deficiency in positive parenting.

Positive parenting is the case of parenting that better supports a healthy growth of a child in all aspects. Many years of studies show the relationship between parenting and responses of children to challenges in life. The definition of a positive parent is an understanding, loving, protective and a reasonable model and teacher.

The approach of positive parenting reflects on the parenting style and its impact on the development of children. Positive parenting is the forecaster of a child’s intellectual health and life success. Furthermore, it also helps in establishing a warm, loving and respectful relationship between you and your child.

We can discribe three main guidelines for positive parenting. All are time-tested and effortless means of positively relating to your sons and daughters.

1. Comfort: It is the foremost, basic thing that children need from a parent. A child adopts the feeling of security. He or she feels really valued and, most of all, loved when his or her parents comfort him or her.

2. Playing: Playing essentially means “working” for children. While playing, you are considered their working buddy. As you play with children, they soon  discover the world they are  living in and learn their responsibilities in it.

3. Teaching: Teaching implies learning time for the children. The first teachers are the parents when it comes to learning how to deal with other people, communicate and solve problems.

What it comes down to is that positive parenting is not just about being nice to your children. Most of the time, being a “reasonable” parent requires you to do things your kids will not like such as teaching them discipline, saying "no" to them or setting limitations and rules. They may not seem favorable in your child’s eyes but they have long-term positive parenting affects on children. This could result in positive development and can also build a healthy and loving relationship between you as the parent and your children.
