Pregnancy. For most couples this is a miracle and a joyous and welcomed occasion. The start of a family and little feet pitter pattering around the house. But for those who are not married, pregnancy can be the end of your world. Being a nineteen year old female, it would affect me most. The thing i fear most is the reaction that comes from the father. When i tell the babies daddy, i want him to cry with tears of joy not fear. What would i do if i got pregnant? Most likely stop going to school to get any kind of work i can possibly get, also find a place to live since my parents have said they would kick me out if this ever happened. Usually the solution is to go live with the boyfriend, but as long as he is living with his mom (who greatly dislikes me for being a female threat to her boy and is incredibly controlling). So i would rent a room from my sister, who lives half hour away from where my boyfriend lives. So i take the precaution to never get pregnant. I want the wedding and house and job first. I want to be able to provide for my baby and have a father that i am married to or at least have the ability to live with, i want my child to have stability.I want pregnancy to be a joy in my life since i want nothing more to be a mother. But i want to be able to choose that, not be forced into being a teenage mother. The fact of having a child does not scare me, the fact of having one when im not financially stable and not married scares me more. At least i know that if it does happen i have responsible man who would not leave me, i would doubt a marriage, but he would be there for me and his child. I am so thankful for that fact.
