Parenting is not a popularity contest! This is one of the most appropriate lines from some wise man that truly describes how difficult it is to be a parent. The true importance of our own parents can only be described once we are into the same shoes. Undoubtedly, you will realize their sacrifices and the best of the efforts they had put in your upbringing.

Whatever you are? Whoever you are? More or less it is because of your parents. But the worst part of the whole story is that we when grow up or when we are independent {socially or economically} we don't realize their contribution moreover we start feeling them as a burden. How can one justify such an act of humility? Imagine if your children do like that?

With the advancement in the society and technology, we are somewhat deviating from our principles of life. The ethical code of conduct is no more present in the society. We look upon our parents as an opportunity ladder. When we have accomplished what we wanted, there is absolutely no need of them rather a place in our busy schedules. What are we running for?

Who am I? Whom am I pleasing? Am I happy?

You will surely get to know your true self which has been suppressed in this materialistic world. You may acquire lot of wealth or properties at prime locations in world. But think will they be attached to you forever? You must understand the value of your parents as they are the living epic of god. You must respect them and take their blessings. Then see how the things change.

This is an attempt to encourage people to understand their values and start respecting their parents and remember "what you give is what you attract." Better late than never.
