Easy Crock Pot Recipes for this Holiday Season


During the holiday season, the pace of life picks up for families.  Between running to work, going to appointments, picking up the kids, and holiday shopping - who has time to cook?  What's the solution?

The crockpot!

Your crockpot cooks for you all day long while you take care of everyone else.  When you finally have time to collaspe, there is a hot, tasty meal waiting for you and your family.  Here are some easy crock pot recipes that we use in our family:



CHEESY CROCK POT CHICKEN

6 chicken breasts (boneless & skinless)

salt & pepper to taste

garlic powder, to taste

2 cans cream of chicken soup

1 can cheddar cheese soup

 

Rinse chicken and sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix undiluted soup and pour over chicken in the crock pot. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Serve over rice or noodles.
Creamy Crock Pot Roast


Creamy Roast Beef

Ingredients:

2 pound beef roast

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 onion (diced)

6 carrots (sliced)

6 potatoes (cubed into small pieces)

Water

Directions:

Place onion, carrots and potatoes at bottom of crock pot. Dredge roast in flour and placed in lightly greased pan. Brown on both sides in hot oil over high heat. Place roast in crock pot over vegetables. Pour soup and 1/2 can water over roast. Cover and cook on low for approximately 10 hours, or 5 to 6
hours on high.

 

Crockpot Chili con Queso

Cook Time: 2 hours,
Ingredients:
1 lb. pkg. Mexican or plain pasteurized process cheese spread
1-1/3 cups chunky salsa
4 oz. can chopped green chilies, drained
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in 3-4 quart crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 2-1/2 hours or until cheese is melted, stirring twice during cooking. Remove the lid from the crockpot and cook on high for 1 hour longer, until mixture is hot. 8-10 servings
